This is one I’m being asked a lot at the moment, so worth a blog in the hope that it will help others.
We’ve already talked in the past about adding FBML to your Facebook Page in order to make custom tabs, now let’s look at how to embed Flash into them (it won’t take long!).
First you need an image and the Flash file on your server somewhere so that you have URLs for each. Your Flash file will end in .swf, your image in .jpg or similar.
Your image needs to be the same pixel size as your Flash file.
Once you have the 2 URLs of these files, place the following code into your FBML tab:
<fb:swf swfsrc="xxxxxxx.swf" imgsrc="xxxxxxx.jpg" width='300' height='250' />Change the appropriate parts – so the 2 URLs, and the width and height, to suit you.
You can also add FBML around the video, so you can make it look pretty, or put an intro, or whatever.
Here’s a pretty simple one I did for Securstore in ten minutes.
Hope this helps! Of course, if you need more help, you can look at our Facebook Page Packages, but the advice on our blog always comes free
